Water can get anywhere, even those places you don’t want it. Your bathroom can flood or you might have a hole in your roof. When water goes where it shouldn’t, it leaves behind “marks”. These water marks are also known as water stains because of their brownish color (and distinctive outline) left behind long after the water has dried up.
Those marks on your ceiling are unsightly and unsettling, whether your property is residential or commercial. They’re also hard to fix, especially on a textured ceiling. Luckily for you, Letendre Painting is here! Letendre Painting & Decorating has more than 60 years of experience in putting your ceiling to rights again, no matter how it was finished originally.
We know how to remove old popcorn and spray a new texture or keep it smooth and simple. Ceilings sometimes get overlooked but you’ll see a huge difference once a fresh coat of white paint is applied. Ceilings become yellow due to cooking, nicotine stains and age. Your room will appear clean and bright after the Letendre professionals apply that fresh paint.
With master painters and the know-how of a third generation family business, we can make your ceiling attractive once more. No matter what details or technique were used to make the piece of art that’s your ceiling, we can handle it! Concerned about possible lead content due to the age of your home? We’re a fully licensed lead renovator, too!
Letendre Painting & Decorating is a family business with over 60 years of experience. We work in the Hampden and Hampshire counties. The towns of Longmeadow, East Longmeadow, Wilbraham, Springfield, Chicopee, Hampden, Agawam, West, Springfield, Hadley, Amherst, Belchertown, and other surrounding areas have seen us working in their neighborhoods for three generations. Look for our trucks and lawn signs. We pride ourselves on our workmanship and knowledge. You can trust our expert painting experience.
Our founder, Romeo and his wife Jeannine Letendre immigrated to the United States from French speaking Quebec in 1946. Romeo joined the painter’s union that same year. Both Romeo and Jeannine spoke little English and their priority was to the learn the language. Romeo started his own business in 1950 and worked hard to build his business so that Jeannine could stay home to raise their four children.
The money he earned provided the young couple with a new home in Springfield and the support he needed for his bride and children. That was their home for 55 years. Romeo passed in 2008 and Jeannine passed in 2015 and are truly missed.
Letendre Painting has now been in business for three generations. His son, Denis, apprenticed with his father for many years in the Romeo school of hard knocks. Denis’ children Christiane and Daniel represent the third generation and are not strangers to the painting business. We are happy to announce that in 2018 Daniel joined the company as administrative assistant. Daniel brings to the table his customer service skills from years working in Quebec in the window and door industry.
Letendre Painting still maintains the same core values of honesty, strong work ethic, quality workmanship and fair value labor that Romeo held dear.
